How do you breathe new life into a 140-year-old historic house with input from internal and external stakeholders? With declining attendance the Minnesota Historical Society (MHS) realized the need to completely re-envision the interpretation of the Alexander Ramsey House (ARH). Fischer worked with colleagues Joel Lefever of Lefebvre Museum Consultants and Mary Kay Ingenthron of MK Communications to create new programs through an inclusive planning process that has served as a model for other MHS historic sites.
